Jack-O-Laterns

The other night we carved pumpkins.  Just in time for Halloween.
Our dining table turned into a gooey Jack-O-Lantern carving station.
This was Danica's first pumpkin carving experience.
When Josh first stuck a knife in her pumpkin to begin cutting out the eyes she yelled "No Daddy! No!"  It took her a few minutes to understand the process, but once she did she had a blast.
She was very proud of her pumpkin.
Everyone had fun.  Maddie goes for quantity when it comes to pumpkins.  She wanted her Jack-O-Lantern to have to bottom teeth where she has lost her own.  Did I mention she lost another bottom tooth about a week & a half ago.
Gracie enjoys pulling out the pumpkin guts.
Joshie, on the other hand, hated pulling out the pumpkin guts & said "That's gross!"  He wanted his Jack-O-Lantern to be a mad pumpkin.
It was a busy hour carving 5 pumpkins (this year Mommy & Daddy shared a Jack-O-Lantern).  Afterwards we roasted pumpkin seeds & made homemade pizza.  A very fun, festive evening.
And the final product was great!  (Joshie is being mad like his pumpkin.)

I'll post our fun Halloween night in the next few days.
