All the Single Ladies

Saturday Maddie spent a good majority of the morning repeatedly signing "all the single ladies".  Not the whole song, just that one line, over and over and over...  I'm not sure where she heard it, but like that song has a tendency to do it got stuck in her head.  Sorry if it gets stuck in yours from this post, I know you're singing it already.  Anyway, I showed her the video so she could see & hear what she was singing.  Plus, being a former dancer myself, I think it's a pretty cool video (I also like how it's a spin off of a Bob Fosse piece).  After watching it Maddie disappeared for a few minutes and following a bit of giggle and running around with her twin sister she reemerged looking like this.  What followed afterwards was too funny for words.  You just have to watch here.

Can anyone say Drama Queen!  This one may have a career performing somehow.  Not sure what shes doing, check out the original Beyonce "Single Ladies" video here.

Happy Birthday Bella

I know this is a few days late, but at least I sent her present off in time right?!  So my beautiful niece Bella turned 3 the other day.  She is on of the funniest little ladies I know.  I'm convinced she'll grow up to be a world leader or a lawyer, baby-girl loves to tell people what to do & is a great negotiator.  Plus she has a wonderful smile & laugh that convinces you to do almost anything, almost.  This photo is a good example of that.  So, Happy Birthday Bella, we love you!

My Brother the Actor

My brother Gabe (or Gabriel as the call him in Hollywood) has been working on his acting career since he graduated high school.  He's done quiet a few independent and smaller films.  But his latest string of roles in SyFy channel movies is what might be what he is most known for now.  Gabe's second SyFy  movie Triassic Attack airs November 27th at 9pm est on the SyFy channel.  & he actually plays a nice guy, for the first time ever.  I am proud of his perseverance & passion for acting, & that he's actually making money doing it in this economy!  Here's a little sneak peak, behind the scenes look.

Happy Birthday Sawyer

I just wanted to give a shout-out to my little nephew Sawyer who turns one today!  I took this picture when he was about 1 month old, it's one of my favorite baby portraits that I've taken.  I can't believe he's already a year old & the size of my two year old.  Happy Birthday Big Guy.

Drowning

Help!  I'm drowning in laundry... can't swim much longer... everything is going black...

Look, I'm not the only one.  Someone call the Coast Guard, quick!  I should just buckle down & fold it, but I think I'll go to my sister-in-law's & help her get ready for my nephew's birthday party instead.  Ahhh, procrastination.

Nature vs. Nurture

It must be ingrained in the male DNA to drink directly from the jug.    Watch now, as he instinctively puts the empty jug back into the fridge!

Who Needs a Puppy

People always say that it would be good to have a dog with children because they would clean up all the crumbs.  While I agree it is a nice feature to having a dog, it is not necessary. The other day after dinner Danica went under the table & started eating the scraps that fell to the floor.  Since I had just swept I knew all the food on the floor was from that meal- so I let her feast away.  And I did the motherly thing & took a picture of my baby girl eating food off the floor instead of stopping her. Maybe because it was the end of the day & I was tired; or maybe because I have 3 other kids who have survived eating random things off the floor I just let her fill her tummy (which is never full by the way).  Besides, look at her, she was having a ball!   Is this morally/motherly wrong?  Anyway, to prove my point, dogs aren't necessary for cleaning scraps- but it might be a healthier alternative ;)

Sellout & Sold

Okay, I'm a sellout-  I joined a blog site.  I have been creating my blog on the website software I use for our ranch website.  This allowed me to design the blog however I wanted, which I like (because I'm a perfectionist). But I have good reason for selling-out to  this blog site (don't get me wrong, I'm thankful for their services, but I do feel a little bit like a cookie cutter blogger now :). WE SOLD OUR HOUSE!


It's so exciting.  The day we were planning on taking it off the market we sold it instead.  We went back and forth with counter offers, but came to a good agreement.  Plus now we'll be able to pay off some debt, have a hefty down payment for a new house, and get a house with a big yard so I can kick all my little monkeys outside to play.

So now I need all of you to pray we find a new home quickly & for a great price.  We close on the 27th which is really soon!  Our plan is to stay at our ranch until we get a new place.  But it would be really great if we could just skip that step & move one time into our new home.  Plus, switching schools for the twins is not that much fun- includes a lot of tears.  But we know in the long run it will all be worth it!

Anyway, I wanted to switch my blog over so I could update it wherever I am.  As I have it now, I can only update on my computer because it has the software on it.  I wanted to keep you all updated as we make our big transition & this will just be an easier way of doing it.  So regretfully I thank Google for allowing me to have a free blog :)

Other than ALL that life has been good.  The Twins love school, which will make moving tough.  They both are doing great in class & are starting to sound out words.  JoJo keeps learning to talk more & more, man can that boy talk.  He's all boy & wants to hit things & be in charge.  He's also really into camping & hunting right now (wonder where he gets that).  Danica has 4 teeth, weighs 16 pounds, 1 ear infection (again), and continues against my will to try & walk.

We are all enjoying the wonderful Indian Summer we're having.  It has been so warm & sunny and the cool mornings are so refreshing.  This is definitely my favorite time of year.  Josh's too, but for different reasons. Reasons involving camo & bows & arrows.
