Over Memorial Day weekend Maddie & Gracie turned seven.
It's hard to believe that they were once this small! This is their first birthday, and oddly enough they are sitting on the same side of each other as the picture above. And they sort of have the same expression even though there was six years in between the two pictures.
On their actual birthday the twins were in Seattle with Grandpa Buck and Grandma Leslie. They were suppose to compete in a horse show that weekend, but it got cancelled last minute. So in it's place Grandpa and Grandma took them to Seattle for a Mariners game and lots of grandparent style spoiling.
Since they were gone on their actual birthday we celebrated on Thursday and Tuesday nights. Thursday was Gracie's celebration. She chose Chinese food for dinner & picked out a little classic white birthday cake.
And both girls opened a couple presents.
We made these cute owl cupcakes for her to take as her snack to class that day.
On Tuesday we celebrated Maddie style. We went to our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner. And she picked out this pretty balloon cake.
Presents had come in the mail over the weekend, so the girls got to open more presents. Their aunt Teta Manda got them treats. Maddie got two half pound Reese's peanut butter cups, her favorite candy.
One bite of these babies is like an entire regular size Reese's. Each night she takes one or two bites. I think she'll be finishing them up on her eighth birthday.
