Twins' Christmas Programs

This past week Maddie & Gracie had two Christmas performances.

One was at school, & since I'm such a cool mom I forgot my zoom lens.  So pardon the blurriness, I really had to zoom in on my editing software & this is the best I could do.

The girls did great & sang awesome.

Not that we could pinpoint their voices, but I'm sure they sang awesome.

Here's a little snippet.

Maddie was easier to see than Gracie.

This was a performance just for all the first grade classes.

I scanned all the kids in this video so you can see how big the first grade is.  There are 8 first grade classes.  The twins go to a huge school.

This past Sunday the twins had our church's children program.  I always love it when all the kiddos in their Christmas best get up to sing for us on a Sunday service.  Someone will inevitable goof off, someone will be horribly shy, someone will trip, & they'll all be so darn cute doing it!

 Once again the girls did a great job.  Do you like how Maddie decided to wear her headband.  Whose kids are those?!

They looked so cute holding their faux candles & singing with all their hearts.

Celebrating Two Years

Oops, I just realized I never posted this!  Better late then never I guess ;)

 We celebrated Danica's birthday the day before.  Because if you're a pastor's kid & your birthday happens to fall on Sunday, the celebration generally isn't so great.  so we took all of Saturday & made it a Danica day. We started with our traditional birthday pancakes.

Then we went to the local carousel.  At first Danica wasn't so sure about it.  But after the first ride she was hooked.  She cried when we had to leave.

 Afterwards we got McDonalds for lunch.  This was one of the two request the Birthday Girl had (you can check out a VIDEO of the birthday girl HERE)

 Then on to cupcakes- her second request.

 She really enjoyed them.

 A few presents were opened and afterwards was nap time.  A very full day for this two year old.

Her sisters gave her one of their dress up tutus.  Danica loved it & wore it the rest of the day with a crown they gave her as well.  She loves being a "princess". Here she is dancing on her big day.

Someone Is Turning Two

Today is Danica's Birthday

It's hard to believe that just two years ago today she was just a little peanut...

...that would sleep all the time & stay in one place.

This is no longer the case.  Our spunky & adventurous little girl keeps us on our toes.

She always entertaining us & making us laugh...

... & surprising us w/ her "accomplishments"

The girl can climb anything- even with a broken arm!  (In this picture her arm is broken, but we didn't know it was broken.  She went 2 days with a broken arm before we took her in because she just wasn't complaining about it.  I thought she had just sprained her wrist- hence my ghetto wrap job.  She's one tough cookie.)

One minute she want to be adorn in princess gear & the next she wrestling her siblings for a toy she wants (& she usually wins).

Her smile is contagious & we can't imagine life without our little princess.

Thanksgiving Update

Our Thanksgiving was wonderful.  This year we spent it with Josh's side of the family in Eureka.  It was so nice to catch up with everyone & have some time together.

Everyone made it except Aaron.  But he was there in spirit, & in cardboard.  See if you can spot him in the family photo.

Cousins got to hang out.

 We made a lot of food...

...and we ate 'til it ouched.

We watched a lot of TV & relaxed.

The girls played a lot of dress up.

And I mean ALL the girls.

We even dressed up the baby (currently) of the family in funny head-wear.

And if that head-wear happens to resemble a turkey, and if it was Thanksgiving day, then said baby also got put on a platter & photographed.  Cutest turkey baby I've ever seen.

Grandma Karen made a wonderful tea party for the children our last day there.

It's so interesting how a girl will enjoy a tea party...

...compared to a boy.

An Early Winter Wonderland

The past few days have dumped a ton of early snow at our house.

Like 6-8 inches of snow... in November... before Thanksgiving.  This is way too early in my book.

Being a Montana native I am naturally use to snow & long winters, but that doesn't mean I like it.  This is a little too much snow a little too early.

My lilacs agree.  This much snow so early is not good for the deciduous plants.  I've had to go out & shake snow off of our landscaping a number of time.

But we made the best of it.

This is Danica's first real encounter with snow.  She kept begging to go outside & play in it.  But when she finally got out there she was not thrilled.

The sled ride with Daddy might not of helped.

Going down hill was okay, but she didn't like the position she was in going back up.  Joshie sort of used her as a brace, not her cup of tea.  Neither of them seem to be enjoying this.

But then she remembered she had opposable thumbs, & how much more interesting are said thumbs inside of gloves.  She spent the rest of the time pondering on this concept.

JoJo, however, spent his time sledding.

I love sledding sequences.  Happy winter y'all!  Brace yourself,I think it's here to stay... for a long time.
